The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “He is stingy to whom I am mentioned, but he does not ask Allah for a blessing (as-salat) for me.”
And he said: “Ask for more blessings for me on Friday. Whoever asks for a blessing for me once, Allah will bless him tenfold.”
Moving your tongue and asking for as-salat for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is easy, and at the same time a great reward is given. And if someone is stingy in performing such a simple act and deprives himself of such an accessible and such a great reward, he is truly greedy and truly stingy.
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى رسولِ الله
Allahumma salli ‘ala rasuliLlah
O Allah, grant the Messenger of Allah as-salat (that is, remember him with a good word among the highest angels).
